I saw an interview with Ron Paul recently where he said something that really stuck with me… He pointed out that part of the reason for all the financial uncertainty right now is the tendency of our fellow Americans to live beyond their means–on an ongoing basis.
Think about it, are you or your friends up to your necks in credit card debt? People treat credit cards like they’re some sort of checking account with cash to be spent– as opposed to a way to temporarily obtain a loan to get something you want sooner than you can save up for it.
Stop living beyond your means… pay off the credit cards and stop financing Wall Street’s obsession with fake assets (consumer debt).
